Let Me Color Your World

Retro Art Nouveau Self Portrait
The Arts have always been my passion. However, after earning my B.S. in Graphic Design in 1992, I chose to follow my other passion: Emergency Medicine. In 2007, while working at NASA/JSC as a Licensed Paramedic and Certified Occupational Health Technician, I was injured on the job, which proved to be a significant blessing. The accident, while ending my emergency medicine career, afforded me the opportunity to go back to college and earn my M.A. in Digital Media Studies.

Dating back to my teenage years selling concessions at a movie theater, I viewed customer service as vital to business success. I spent several years in a college retail setting where I worked closely with students and professors. I developed the vital customer services skills of compassion, patience and understanding. Working in emergency medicine intensified those qualities, as I had to deal with patients and families at some of the most devastating times in their lives.
